Great overnight stay on route. The hotel looks old upon first impression; rooms are renovated, and our smoke-free room on the first floor was very clean!
The staff here are just fantastic. I felt like I was part of the family. They are friendly and helpful and make it worth the stay. The price is good and the pool was open past 10pm!
Two-day stay was great. Hotel is undergoing lots of exterior and interior updates. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating to every need. Nice little breakfast choices.
The only negative thing I have to say is in regards to their temperature control for the rooms. When we walked in it was crazy humid, and after traveling all day on a hot July day...it’s not fun to walk into a humid room. We stayed there during the last week of July. After turning the AC on, it worked great! The room and bathroom was clean. We arrived late at night and the woman that checked us in was nice. The woman in the morning was so nice, her hospitality was outstanding. She made our kids feel so special, it was their birthdays. The breakfast was good. It wasn’t a huge buffet, but it normally isn’t when it’s free. Coffee, juice, fruit, waffles, cereal. The Texas shaped waffles you can make are so cute and batter made fluffy waffles. It was a nice place to stay on the way to our destination.
This is an older property, but for 60 bucks the price was right. I did have to ask for a blanket cause the A/C wouldn't control properly. Had to turn off when in shower. I always bring my own body wash, shampoo etc. Glad I did cause in the shower the dispenser was empty. I did tell the front desk upon checkout. The bath towels were thin and small. All employees I encounter were very personable. I stayed because I went to Mexico for a teeth cleaning. Only cross at Nuevo Progresso. I was alone as I've done this many times.
I can say I had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and had a fair price. The lady at the front desk was very nice and made it easy for us to check in.

They're updating! I stay here for nostalgia reasons. But I'm glad they're finally getting a face-lift.
